After all is said and done, ‘King James’ Lebron James now has NBA Championship ring. Much to the distaste of Lebron haters, he showed and proved to everyone that he indeed deserve to win it.
With the shortened 2012 season of the NBA, Miami Heat battled it out for the championship with the equally exciting and promising Oklahoma City Thunders of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Derek Fisher. In the best of 7 series, Heat won over the Thunders in Game 5, 4-1.
James finishes with a triple double; 26 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists to close Game 5. He maybe tagged as a ‘Choker’ because he cannot finishes big games but in this Finals series, he proved them wrong. He carried Miami to this Championship. His first championship ring in his 9 years NBA career (first pick overall in 2003 NBA Draft). His first and definitely not the last.
He indeed made the right decision in coming to Miami and it’s all worth it. On his post game interview, he said “This is a dream come true for me and it paid off. Last year’s loss humbled me a lot and made me back to basics.”
This is really his year. He is the season’s MVP and Finals MVP.
