BAYO What’s your Mix Ad Campaign

BAYO’s new ad campaign, What’s your Mix is getting buzz over Facebook and Twitter.

The ad says:

What’s your mix? This is just all about MIXING and MATCHING. Nationalities, moods, personalities, and of course your fashion pieces. Call it biased, but the mixing and matching of different nationalities with Filipino blood is almost a sure formula for someone beautiful and world class. We always have that fighting chance to make it in the world arena of almost all aspects. Be it Fashion. Music. Science and Sports. Having Filipino lineage is definitely something to be proud of.

This ad features mixed-race Filipina models like Jasmine Curtis-Smith is deemed “racist” and offensive. Some say the ad implicates that Filipinos of mixed descent are superior to others. I don’t this ad is offensive, they may have communicated and worded it poorly. According to ABS-CBNnews, the true aim of Bayo’s “What’s Your Mix?” campaign is to promote Filipino heritage as well as a person’s uniqueness.

  1. I don’t think its offensive but Bayo should have delivered it better because it seems like those “mixed” are better than the pure ones..
