Jeremy Lin was not drafted, he was cut by two teams in the same preseason and sent to the D-League. Now, Jeremy Lin is doing LINsanity in Madison Square Garden. He is the new Hero of New York. In the absence of their top scorer Carmelo Anthony, who injured his groin against the Utah Jazz and Amar’e Stoudemire, who will miss four games following the death of his brother in a car accident, he was tapped to play and he disappointed the team and city of New York.
Lin has become a sensation since he scored 25 points in a win against the New Jersey Nets on Feb. 4 and had a career-high 28 points while making his first start in a victory against the Jazz two nights later.
He again is the talk of the town when Knicks won over Lakers Friday night 92-85. He led the Knicks with 38 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists & 2 steals while Kobe has 34 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist & 1 steal.
This is indeed Linsanity!!
Thirty-five days ago Lin jokingly tweeted “Every time I try to get into Madison Square Garden, the security guards ask me if I’m a trainer.” That surely won’t be happening anymore.
A bright future for a promising and sensational player!
